5K Glow Run FAQs
2. Who can participate in the VIVA Los Muertos 5K?
Everyone is welcome. Runners, walkers, families, first-timers, and experienced racers can all be part of the celebration.
Come ready to run for a personal best, walk with your familia, or simply enjoy a 5K filled with color, music, and Día de los Muertos spirit.
3. Can I walk the VIVA Los Muertos 5K?
Sí. You can walk, jog, run, or do a little bit of all three.
This is not the kind of race where you have to leave half the family behind. Bring your kids, your cousins, your tías, or whoever is ready to move through the course with you.
4. Is the VIVA Los Muertos 5K a timed race?
Yes. The event will be professionally timed, and registered participants will receive an official chip-timed race bib.
You can race the clock, chase a personal best, or finally settle who is actually the fastest cousin in the family.
5. What is included with 5K registration?
our registration includes:
Official chip-timed 5K race bib
Exclusive event shirt
Custom VIVA Los Muertos finisher medal
Professional race timing and awards
Live entertainment and festival access
Viva Taco Fest admission for the participant and one guest
That means you can cross the finish line, grab your medal, and head straight into the fiesta.
6. Does 5K registration include admission to VIVA Taco Fest?
Sí. Your registration includes VIVA Taco Fest admission for you and one guest.
Bring someone to cheer you on, then celebrate together with tacos, music, entertainment, and the full festival experience after the race.
7. Can participants wear Día de los Muertos costumes or face paint?
Absolutely. Catrina-inspired outfits, colorful face paint, and creative costumes are encouraged.
Bring the color, the flowers, the details, and the look that will have your whole familia asking for pictures before you even reach the starting line. Just make sure you can move comfortably and safely through the course.
8. Will there be costume prizes at the 5K?
Yes. Creative costumes and Catrina-inspired looks will have a chance to win costume-contest prizes.
This is your excuse to go all out, so bring the flowers, the color, and a look worthy of the family group chat.
9. What will the VIVA Los Muertos 5K course be like?
As the sun sets, participants will move through a festive, illuminated course surrounded by music, marigolds, vibrant colors, and Día de los Muertos traditions.
It is part race, part remembrance, and part celebration of life. Run for someone you love, walk with your family, and take in a course filled with corazón from start to finish.
10. When will the race route and packet-pickup details be announced?
The official route, packet-pickup information, arrival instructions, and other race-day details will be shared closer to the event.
Join the Viva list so you know where to pick up your bib, when to arrive, and exactly where the fiesta begins.
