Soccer Tournament FAQs
2. Who can participate in the VIVA Soccer Tournament?
The tournament is open to boys and girls U5 through U18.
Teams will be placed into appropriate divisions and brackets based on age and registration information.
3. Are registration fees per team or per player?
Registration fees are per team, not per player.
One registration covers your team’s entry into the VIVA Soccer Tournament.
4. How many players can be on a team?
Teams need a minimum of four players to start and can have a maximum roster of eight players.
Four players will be on the field at a time.
5. What format will the games use?
Games will be played in a fast-paced 4v4 format.
With four players on the field for each team, the format keeps the action moving and gives players plenty of opportunities to stay involved throughout each match.
6. How will teams be placed into divisions and brackets?
Teams will be placed into official divisions and brackets based on age and the information provided during registration.
Final brackets and matchup information will be posted once registration and team placement are complete.
7. When will game times and the tournament schedule be announced?
Game times, field assignments, and the full tournament schedule will be shared after brackets have been finalized.
Teams should be prepared to play on both Saturday and Sunday. Tournament schedules and game times are subject to change, so teams should continue checking for updates as VIVA weekend gets closer.
8. Are there tournament awards?
Yes. Tournament awards will be available for qualifying divisions.
Award details will depend on the final tournament divisions and brackets.
9. Does soccer registration include admission to VIVA Taco Fest?
Yes. VIVA Taco Fest admission is included for each registered player.
Players can enjoy the festival along with the soccer tournament throughout the weekend.
10. Do teams need to be available both Saturday and Sunday?
Yes. Teams should be prepared to play matches on both Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1.
Teams are also responsible for arriving on time for all scheduled matches, so coaches and team managers should review the final tournament schedule closely once it is released.
